Why is this topic important?

Many of our financial institution members offer consumer transfers, allowing a consumer to originate an ACH transaction from your financial institution to credit or debit their account at another financial institution. This can be a very valuable consumer service. However there are several risks associated with these transfers that must be properly addressed to prevent possible loss or fraud.
